Think of your website as a giant maze and Google, Yahoo, and Bing are the “Mice”. You want to make it as easy as possible for them to find the content within your website and have multiple routes to many places.
For example you may have a page that is nested deep within your website that you know only certain visitors are interested in but contains many of the keywords you are targeting. Instead of leaving it as is, use your blog as an opportunity to reference this page and allow the search engine spiders multiple opportunities to access this information.
The easier it is for the spiders, or “Mice”, to find your information the better off your search rankings will be.
