There was a time in the early-to-mid 90s when there were a large number of different search engines.  These search engines often generated different sites in response to a typical search, and you quickly learned which engines generated the type of content you wanted.  Altavista, Ask Jeeves, HotBot, Excite, InfoSeek, NetScape, and MetaCrawler were just some of the many search engines available.  Nowadays, Google basically dominates the search engine market, and even if a search engine is not called Google, there is often a little notice that says something to the effect of “Powered by Google”, somewhere on the engine’s homepage.

This is why search engine marketing has become more important than ever.  It is vital that your site is optimized in such a way that it appears organically in search engine listings, because there is really only one list.  A content marketing service can help you navigate the vagaries of search engine optimization, and a blog writing service can aid in driving traffic to your site.  With this type of help, you can be certain that potential customers will find you, and that your name will remain on the front page of every search engine listing.
