We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: your blog is only as good as your content marketing strategy. And a huge part of this strategy – beyond posting blogs on the major social media platforms – are plug-ins.
Plug-ins are bits of code that, when embedded in your blog, can enable you to you effortlessly share and promote content with the push of a button. (This, of course, may come as no surprise to users of the WordPress platform, which is one of the most popular and user-friendly blogging platforms out there.)
Entrepreneur magazine recently listed a handful of WordPress plug-ins that can kick-start your blogging and small business marketing efforts. We’d like two highlight two.
One is the All in One SEO plug-in, which tweaks your blog settings to make the content more appealing to search algorithms. To do this, the user must fill out the title, keyword, and description boxes accordingly. Pretty simple stuff.
The second are social sharing plug-ins like AddThis or ShareThis. These plugins instantly places Facebook, Twitter, and other social site icons on your blog to make reader sharing a snap.
